Training quality and course scope

What has been reviewed, what remains outstanding and what an Academy certificate means.

Status recorded 27 October 2026 · Curriculum release QA3

Internal review completed

The QA3 review covered core teaching in all 60 courses and 690 lessons, with corrections to teaching, scenarios and assessment items. Technical checks covered learning progress, activity gates, attempts, certificates and downloads. Internal review and successful technical tests do not constitute independent clinical or professional approval.

Independent review still required

Subject-appropriate independent specialist validation, full assessment moderation and completion of claim-level source and jurisdiction checks remain outstanding. Third-party video permissions and some accessibility, mobile and narration checks are also incomplete. Resources awaiting clearance must not be described as approved demonstrations.

Certificates and levels

A certificate records the named learner’s online theory learning and assessment. It is not evidence of observed practical competence, professional registration or permission to undertake a clinical procedure. Employers remain responsible for local induction, supervision, practical assessment and authorisation where required.

References to levels in course titles describe intended topic scope. They do not, by themselves, create a regulated qualification or an externally approved award. Standards evidence maps are working evidence, not proof of framework recognition or acceptance by a particular buyer.

Choosing a course for your setting

Check the audience, jurisdiction, learning outcomes, sources and practical limits in the course overview. Confirm that the learning meets your employer, commissioner or professional requirements before adoption. England-specific learning should not be assumed to meet all requirements in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
